Why Did You Decide To Make Santa Dolls?

In 1995, I created a quilted patchwork using disassembled neckties that had been given to me by well-known fashion designers.  When it began to take shape, I thought it would make an interesting Santa Doll cloak.

Why Are There So Many Different Styles?

For many years, making Santa Dolls was simply a hobby, but as time passed many friends and acquaintances asked me to make dolls for them. My sense of fashion dictates that each doll must be one-of-a-kind.  And before I knew it, a whole series of themes began to evolve.

How Tall Are Your Santa Dolls?

Each doll is mounted on a wooden platform and measures about 26 inches tall depending on the final touches to the costume.  Accessories blend with the theme.  For example, the Japanese Santa Dolls each have unique oriental decorations.  The Sitting Santa Dolls are anywhere from 12 to 20 inches tall depending on what Santa is mounted upon.

Are Any Two Dolls Alike?

Every Santa Doll is unique... except the Hawaiian dolls.  They have similar cloaks with different colors, as well as matching accessories. This is the only doll that can be special ordered, which takes about 6 weeks to fill.

What Is Your Price Range For All Lines?

Between $410 and $725.  The Couture, Necktie and Sitting lines are typically the most difficult to make and the fabric for both Couture and Gallery can sometimes be quite expensive.

How Long Does It Take To Make One Santa Doll?

Depending on the amount of hand-stitching required, as well as the challenge to accessorize the doll to my satisfaction, it can take from 30 to 100 hours to complete a single doll.

Do You Have A Refund Policy?

I'm proud to say I've never had a dissatisfied customer. Nevertheless, if a buyer is dissatisfied with their doll for any reason, they may exchange it for another of equal value.

The doll must be returned in the same pristine condition in which it was originally sent and all shipping and handling charges ... both directions ... are the responsibility of the buyer.

The doll should be returned within 14 days of original delivery to the purchaser.

I encourage buyers to communicate with me before making any purchase. This provides an opportunity to ask any questions and to make absolutely certain they are comfortable before incurring any cost.

Will You Ship Anywhere In The World?

Not necessarily.  We have shipped dozens of dolls to the U.S. Mainland and several dolls to Japan.  We use a professional packing and shipping firm and always insure the parcel.  To date, we have had no problems.

What Does It Cost To Ship The Santa Dolls?

Packing, USPS Express Mail shipping and insurance total $90 per doll to any city in the U.S. Mainland.  This is subject to change.
